Library Use:
- 6 out of 10 Marathon County residents are MCPL card-holders.
- 648,084 visits were made to MCPL locations in 2010 (≈ 2,000 visits/day).
- 1,127,055 check-outs performed at MCPL locations in 2010.
- Check-outs have increased 32.6% since 2006; simultaneously, paid staff have decreased by 17.3%.
Library Programs:
- 1,073 events were hosted by MCPL
in 2010, with 28,892 attendees.
- 2,914 children participated in the 2010 Summer Library Program.

- In 2010, the average cost per resident for Library services was $31.30. With this amount — just a little more than the average cost of one hardcover book — the Library provides access to over 1 million items, over 100 computers, more than 1,000 programs, and many other valuable services!
