Thousands of Free, Online Books, Accessible from Anywhere!
NetLibrary is on online service that allows you to access the Wisconsin Valley Library Service's eContent collection, which includes "E-Books" -- i.e. online-only versions of a variety of books, accessible on demand by MCPL (or V-Cat) card-holders.
STOP! -- If you are attempting to access NetLibrary from home, you need to have created a free user account to do so. This can be done at any MCPL location, (click here), or submit the "Sign Up for NetLibrary!" form to the left, and we will create an account for you. |
If you already have a user account with NetLibrary, or you are on a computer at an MCPL location, you may access NetLibrary using the link below:
Reminders / Tips:
-
Your NetLibrary account is in no way tied to your MCPL / V-Cat library card account. Your MCPL barcode and/or PIN are not used as your NetLibrary account login. Also, MCPL staff cannot recover lost passwords, so make a note of the one you choose.
-
You cannot download entire e-books to your computer or mobile device. NetLibrary e-books may be viewed online only. However, you may save or print one page at a time (for reference, notes, future study, etc.).
-
To browse the entire e-book collection, click "eBooks" under "In Our Collection" on the NetLibrary main search page. From there, you can sort or limit your results further.
-
Searching by "keyword" searches for terms in the title, author, Library of Congress subject heading, publisher, and ISBN fields.
- NetLibrary e-books will also show up among regular Library Catalog (V-Cat) search results, designated "electronic resource" or "computer file." To access, open the item's record and click the NetLibrary link provided.
