Documentary & Discussion: Wisconsin's Mining Standoff

Sat., 11/8/14, 3:00pm 4:00pm @ MCPL Wausau
Produced and directed by Milwaukee-based 371 Productions, this film takes viewers to Ashland and Iron counties, where the company Gogebic Taconite has set off a battle over the state's natural resources by proposing to dig what could be one of North America's largest open pit mines in Wisconsin's Penokee Hills.

This film explores the potential impacts of the mine and how legislation changed the state's mining laws. After the film, the filmmakers will be available for discussion and questions.
