View upcoming events.WAUSAU - The Marathon County Public Library is holding a scary story writing contest Sept. 4 through Oct. 15, 2012, for Marathon County teens in grades six through 12 in the 2012-2013 school year.     Teens can submit their best original spine-chilling tales to be featured on the library's website. Winning entries will be featured in the 2013 edition of "Pixels & Pages," the library's annual teen lit magazine. Stories should be 1,500 words or fewer in length and should be original works that have not been published elsewhere.     Stories may be submitted online at www.mcpl.us/teenzone/scarystory. Files should be in a Microsoft Word-compatible format. Entries must include: title; author's first and last name; current grade; school name; mailing address; telephone number and email.    Plus, teens can attend the library's Scary Story Writing Workshop to improve their stories before submitting them to the contest!    For more information, call 715-261-7203.
