Following an introduction by Jeff Leigh, associate professor of history at UWMC, visitors are invited to peruse the exhibits. Funding for this program was provided by the Friends of MCPL. The exhibit is presented by White Rose Foundation e. V. of Munich, Germany.

Thu., 1/16/14, 6:00pm – 8:00pm @ MCPL Wausau Join us for a screening of "Wisconsin's Nazi Resistance: The Mildred Fish-Harnack Story," a WPT documentary about Mildred Fish-Harnack, a Milwaukee-born, UW-Madison graduate who was the only American woman executed on the direct order of Adolf Hitler for her involvement in the Berlin resistance movement. Afterward, Holly Hassel, chair of the UW-Colleges Women's Studies Program, will lead a discussion of the film. This event is offered in conjunction with our White Rose Exhibition. This screening was made possible through Wisconsin Women Making History, a project of Wisconsin Public Television, The Wisconsin Humanities Council, the University of Wisconsin Women's Studies Consortium, and the Wisconsin Historical Society.
