A Light-Hearted Look at Marathon County History / Wed., 5/23, 6:30-8:00pm @ MCPL Mosinee -- Gary Gisselman, a historian with the Marathon County Historical Society, presents some of the more wacky and unusual aspects of of Marathon County history.

Intro. to iPad / Wed., 5/23, 1:30-3:00pm @ MCPL Stratford -- If you'd like to try the iPad, or if you already have one and aren't quite sure how to use it, this class is for you! Registration required; call 715-687-4420. Taught by Mike Theiss from the UW Extension.

Make Your Own Mini-Garden / Mon., 6/4, 6:00-7:00pm @ Stark's Floral (near MCPL Edgar) -- In this hands-on event, Master Gardener Karen Schmitt will help you make a decorative, one-square-foot mini garden using a combination of three flowering and green plants (provided free of charge). Grow Your Own Pizza! / Mon., 6/11, 6-7pm @ Stark's Floral (near MCPL Edgar) -- Learn how to grow the ingredients for pizza with Master Gardener Karen Schmitt. Schmitt will discuss vegetables and herbs important in Italian cuisine, such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, oregano and basil. (related items)
