Stories-to-Go Boxes

Stories-to-Go Boxes are educational activity kits for adults who work with groups of children. These boxes may be requested for pick-up at any MCPL location.

• Boxes may be borrowed by adults working with groups of children, such as day care providers, teachers and library staff. Items in boxes are not to be used by a single child or by a group of children for their entertainment, but only by adults working with children.

• Boxes may be borrowed for up to 14 days and are not renewable. Boxes may be reserved by calling the Children’s Department in Wausau at 715-261-7220. Reservations may be made as far ahead as three months beyond the current month.

• Damage and loss of materials will be charged to the patron.

• Boxes may be sent to any MCPL branch or picked up at the desk in the Wausau Children's Department.

• Returning the boxes promptly is essential and must be done through the library van or at the desk in the Wausau Children's Department. A late charge of $1.00 per day per box will be assessed. Late fees of $.10 per item per day will be charged for missing items.

• Boxes must be used and stored in non-smoking areas.
