Children's Storytimes

Family Storytime is for all ages and consists of 30 minutes of stories, songs, and other literature-based activities.

• MCPL Athens -- Tuesdays, 10:00am (Sept.-May; ends 5/8/12 / resumes 9/18/12)
• MCPL Edgar -- Thursdays, 9:30am (Sept.-May; ends 5/17/12 / resumes 9/13/12)
• MCPL Hatley -- Tue., 10:30am (year-round)
• MCPL Marathon City -- Thursdays, 10:30am (Sep.-Dec.; ends 12/15/11 / resumes 9/6/12)
• MCPL Mosinee -- Wed., 10:00am (Sept.-May; starts 9/12/12 [replaces 'Preschool Storytime'])
• MCPL Rothschild -- Wed., 10:30am (year-round)
• MCPL Spencer -- Wednesdays, 10:00am (Sept.-May; ends 5/9/12 / resumes 9/5/12)
• MCPL Stratford -- Wednesdays, 10:15am (Sept.-May; ends 5/16/12 / resumes 9/12/12)

"Sweet Dreams" Storytime -- Children of all ages are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals and wear pajamas to this special evening storytime!

• MCPL Wausau -- Mondays, 6:30pm (Jun.-Aug.; starts 6/4/12 / ends 8/13/12)

"Play & Learn" Family Storytime features stories, activities, and crafts, offered in partnership with the Family Resource Center.

• MCPL Wausau -- Fridays, 9:30am (year-round)

Preschool Story Times are held for three-year-olds, four-year-olds, and those five-year-olds who are not yet attending kindergarten. A variety of stories, songs, and other reading readiness activities will be presented at these 30 minute programs.

• MCPL Wausau -- Wed. & Thu., 10:30am (year-round)
• MCPL Mosinee -- Wed., 10:00am (ends 5/9/12; replaced by 'Family Storytime' 9/12/12)

Tales for Twos is a story time designed for children who are 24 to 35 months old. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Older and younger children may attend if accompanied by an age-appropriate sibling.

• MCPL Wausau -- Tue., 9:45am AND 10:30am (year-round)
• MCPL Mosinee -- Tue., 10:30am (ends 5/8/12; replaced by 'Family Storytime' 9/12/12)

Book Babies is a storytime for children who are 0 to 23 months old. No registration is required, but each child must be accompanied by an adult. You may bring other preschool-age children with you to this program, but keep in mind that these programs are 20 minute "lap sit" story times geared to our very youngest customers. The developmental needs of older preschoolers will be better served by attending our toddler, preschool, or family story times.

• MCPL Wausau -- Mon., 9:45am AND 10:30am (year-round)

Registered Groups @ MCPL Wausau / Thursdays @ 9:45am -- Any caregiver bringing seven or more children for storytime must attend this program, which is presented exclusively for groups of 3-5 year-old children.  Please pre-register by calling (715) 261-7220.
