Marathon County residents unable to visit the library due to age, illness, accident or disability may be interested in our Outreach Program which offers a way to receive library materials by mail or special delivery.
This service is free of charge, but a valid library card is required. Once enrolled, library volunteers will select materials for you based on your preferences and forward these items to your residence on a regular schedule. All items are checked out to you for five weeks at a time, after which you may return these via mail or volunteer courier.
You do not need a statement from your doctor to enroll in the outreach program; you only must be unable to get library materials in any other way. You may enroll on a temporary basis if you are in a condition that has left you temporarily homebound. You also may refer a friend or family member.
