Work on your homework at the library, even if you left your textbook at school or at home! Many local high schools and middle schools have made their textbooks available for students to use while at MCPL Wausau.
Several computers at MCPL Wausau are reserved for teens to use while doing homework. These computers do not require a library card to log in, and they are available for two hours at a time. There are also Internet-connected computers, free wireless Internet, and laptops available for checkout (with parental premission) at all MCPL locations.

Coursera -- Offers free college-level courses from major U.S. universities, including a wide range of topics: the humanities, medicine, biology, social sciences, mathematics, business, computer science, and others. Earn certificates of completion for your resume.
Education Portal Academy -- Free, freshman-level college courses presented in bite-sized video lessons. To receive college credit, a nominal fee is required.
Khan Academy -- A non-profit website offering free access to over 3,000 educational videos that cover math, science, biology, chemistry, physics, finance, history, and more. Intended for learners of all ages, including K-12 students and adults. Learners (and parents/educators) may also track lesson progress using this website.
Read On Wisconsin! -- Promotes high-quality books for children and teens throughout Wisconsin. Allows parents and educators to discuss relevant titles and teaching strategies. Also, children and teens are encouraged to create and share "book trailer" videos for sharing on this site.
Teen Reads -- Lots of information about young adult books, including lists, reviews, author bios, and more.
