Need help finding resources for your National History Day project?
The Marathon County Public Library Reference Desk staff at MCPL Wausau are always ready to help you with your research. Appointments are recommended, but not necessary.

How to access MCPL’s Online Resources for your research:
- Go to the Marathon County Public Library Website: www.mcpl.us
- Find “Resources “ in the menu bar across the top of the page.
- On the drop-down menu, click on Online Resources. Here you will see a listing of all of MCPL’s online resource pages, with links.
- Choose the database you wish to use. From home you will need to provide your library card number and pin number. For history research, try the following:

Millions of searchable newspaper pages, dating as far back as the 1700s, presented in a PDF format that preserves the original context and format of content.
Multiple databases of magazines, journals, newspapers, images and reference resources.
Provides you with a connection for tracing family history and American culture. Images of original documents are provided.
