The sale, manufacture and use of illegal drugs continues to be a growing problem in Marathon County. Such drug use is a clear threat to our family, friends and society in general.
Beginning the week of October 7th, the Marathon County Public Library and the Marathon County AOD Partnership will be presenting a series of programs detailing drug use in Marathon County and the county-wide response to that abuse.
Tuesday October 8th from 5:30-7:00pm a program will be given on What's Hot Now? which will cover current drug trends impacting area young adults.
The What's Hot Now? program will be repeated on Wednesday October 9th from 12:00-1:30pm.
The programs are free to the public and will be held in the 3rd Floor Wausau Room. Free refreshments will be provided at all sessions.
Given the seriousness of the drug problem in Marathon County, you owe it to yourself to attend one of these sessions. So mark your calendar for October 8th or 9th and be prepared for an eye-opening program.
