MCPL Story Times Go on Break for Spring, Summer

Dan Richter

May 8, 2017

With summer just around the corner, the Marathon County Public Library is putting some of their children's story times on hold in order to gear up for their upcoming Summer Library Program!

Beginning today, May 8, all story times at MCPL Wausau will go on hiatus, including their Family Story Time, Preschool Story Time, Tales for Tots and Book Babies. All of these story times will resume on June 6.

Story time changes will also be coming to the MCPL branches this summer. Weekly Family Story Times at the Edgar, Mosinee, Spencer and Stratford Branches will take a break for the entire summer, returning in early September. The Marathon City Branch's Family Story Time will meet as planned throughout the summer, except for on June 15, 29 and July 13, when larger Summer Library Program events will take its place.

The Rothschild Branch will drop their weekly Thursday afternoon story time and instead offer just their Family Story Time on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., until the Thursday story time resumes in September. Story times at MCPL Athens and Hatley Branches will remain unaffected and continue to meet as planned throughout the summer.

The Play and Learn story times, offered in collaboration with the Family Resource Center at MCPL Wausau, Athens, Edgar, Hatley, Mosinee, Spencer and Stratford, will continue.
