National Library Week Begins

April 12, 2009

Today is Easter and also the start of  National Library Week.  National Libary Week begins today, April 12  and runs through Saturday, April 18.

We are giving you lots of good reasons to visit your library this week with free 50 cent coupons, treats, free library card replacement this week, a scavenger hunt for kids 3-8 .  Stop in tomorrow, Monday at  Wausau at 1:00pm, and hear Brad Karger, Marathon County Administrator, and Jim Tipple, Mayor of Wausau, officially proclaim National Library Week.

And don't miss the programs this week, in particular, Karen Land, this Thursday, April 16 at 6:00 pm.  She will be relating her experiences, pitting woman and dogs against the brutal forces of nature in the Iditarod Dog Sled Race, something most of can hardly imagine.

So if you haven't stopped in to see us in a while, we are giving you lots of good reasons to do so.  As our community grows and changes, the library grows and changes too.  You will be pleasantly surprised at all that is available to you free of charge.

I, and all of our friendly, knowledgeable staff look forward to seeing you at any one, or all  of our nine locations.  See you there.

Happy Sping and Happy National Library Week.
