Recently, BadgerLink added and updated some of their online resources that are available to library users across the state, including at MCPL. If you aren’t familiar with BadgerLink, it’s the free service for libraries offered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction that provides a variety of resources for school, home and work.

Updated resources include:

Literary Reference Center Plus (upgraded from Literary Reference Center) - this resource offers a collection of literary criticism and reference works

MAS Complete (upgraded from MAS Ultra-School Edition) - this resource is designed specifically for high schoolers and features a collection of popular magazines, books, and multimedia covering a wide-range of subject areas

BadgerLink is also offering library users four additional resources, including:

Advanced Placement Source - Features full-text journals and magazines for high school students enrolled in various Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses

Computers & Applied Science Complete - A full-text database covering computing, technology and engineering disciplines

Poetry & Short Story Reference Center - A database of full-text classic and contemporary poems, short stories, biographies, essays, lesson plans and learning guides

Small Engine Repair - Offers detailed, user-friendly repair guides for all manner of small engines, such as lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and more

Take some time to check out these new and updated resources. Two resources that I want to give a special shout out too are the Small Engine Repair and Advanced Placement Source. With the winter months fast approaching, be sure to check out the “Small Engine Repair” database for help with snow blower tune ups and repairs. Students in AP or IB courses should definitely visit the Advanced Placement Source for extra resources and help with their assignments.

Make sure to check our Online Resources page with links to additional resources that will help with homework, home repairs or job searching.
