Marathon County Public Library is extending its observance of National Library Week (April 10-16) throughout the month of April by highlighting its employees through a series of staff profiles! Now through April 30, learn a little bit about the personnel at our nine MCPL locations, and feel free to give them a friendly "hello" next time you see them!

What are some of your main job responsibilities?
Ordering adult materials for all MCPL locations, weeding and working the reference desk.
 
What book(s) are you currently reading? 
The Once and Future King by T.H. White, The Boys of Winter by Wayne Coffey and A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin.
 
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Getting to know what everyone is reading at the moment and ordering new materials based on that.
 
What is your ideal vacation? Where would you go and what would you do there?
I would like to see the historical monuments and temples in South Korea, or go sightseeing in Ireland.
 
What’s the best advice anyone has given you? 
“You don’t know who is looking up to you. Don’t let that person down.”

How do you think MCPL will continue to transform in the future?
MCPL will continue to assist the people who need and want our services while also, moving forward with new trends that will appeal to the public.
