Marathon County Public Library (MCPL) is requesting proposals for a new automated materials handling system (AMH).
The device will need to reliably and efficiently receive, immediately check in, and sort returned library materials at one location within our building. Many of the items have RFID tags, but some do not. All items have barcodes.
Currently, MCPL has a 5-bin setup with one staff induction station and one patron induction station. The projected annual number of items checked in and sorted through this device is greater than 300,000.
All interested vendors are required to submit proposals within the following timeframe:
- Request for Proposals released: Thursday, September 1, 2022
- Responses due: Friday, September 30, 2022, 4:00pm
- Notification to responders: October 21, 2022
