It was a party!

No Shh-ing

April 16, 2007

The library rocked yesterday as we celebrated our 100th birthday. There was definitely no shussing as almost 2800 people came to dance to Andy Z and the Spankin Monkees, be serenaded by the Golden Glow Quartet Barbershoppers, listen to the storytellers, eat cake, ride the trolley, and have a good time. Income Tax Filing Deadline is April 17

April 10, 2007

The income tax filing deadline is fast approaching, but this year you have two extra days to file. Taxes are not due until April 17. Why? April 15 falls on a Sunday so an extra day is given for Sunday. Monday, April 16 is Emancipation Day, a legal holiday in the District of Columbia, so another day was added. We also have reproducible forms for filing Federal and State individual income taxes that can be photocopied. The Library's 100 Year Birthday Party is on Sunday April 15 at the Wausau Library and we anticipate that it will be busy, so Sunday may not be the best day to...

Dancing, food, and frivolity was had by all. See more photographs here.
