FAQ: What safety precautions are being taken during the library's limited re-opening?
During the library's limited reopening (starting 6/22), library staff at all MCPL locations will utilize the following safety precautions in order to keep themselves and the public safe:
- All MCPL locations will be open by appointment only for a limited number of patrons:
- MCPL Wausau will only be open for computer lab use.
- MCPL branches will be open for computer lab use and limited browsing of the collections.
Library staff will wear protective face masks.
Library staff will sanitize computers, doors and other touch points between uses and periodically throughout the day.
Patrons must wear face masks (per state order, starting 8/1) and follow social distancing practices. Patrons should bring their own masks.
All returned library items will be quarantined for
72 hours96 hours (four days) as of 7/23 (per revised state guidance).
Hand sanitizing stations will be set up at the entrances to all MCPL locations.
