This book was amazing! It brought the issue of oppression to the forefront and made doing something to combat it attainable. Women make up half of the global population and yet they still face daily oppression and adversity. While many across the globe are standing up, there is still much work to be done. From big activism like fighting for education alongside advocates like Malala, to simple acts of kindness like donating clothing, school supplies, and toys to children in need, everyone can find a niche and make a difference. The authors illustrated over and over again how change efforts do not have to be complicated or expensive in order to be effective. This brings hope to readers like me who are deeply moved by the suffering of girls and women across the globe, but who don’t know how they can help. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what the world is really like for half of the population.
