Oh Yeah, Audrey

Staff Review: Oh Yeah, Audrey

"Oh Yeah, Audrey" by Tucker Shaw

Cover: 'Oh Yeah, Audrey'

This is a fun read about a teen who is obsessed with actress and legendary style icon Audrey Hepburn. Gemma started a Tumblr blog-Oh Yeah, Audrey- about the star, and virtually met several teens who share her fascination. They agree to meet in person in New York City for a weekend adventure inspired by Hepburn's famous film "Breakfast at Tiffany's," but suddenly Gemma finds herself caught up in a whirlwind romance with a boy who can fulfill her style icon fantasies. Some of the plot twists are pretty unbelievable, which forced me to knock a star off from my rating, but overall this book is recommended for readers looking for a light read or an homage to Audrey. As a final recommendation, this book is filled with references to "Breakfast at Tiffany's," so viewing the film prior to reading (or perhaps revisiting the film again) will make this book much more enjoyable for readers.
