FAQ: What are the checkout policies for e-books and audiobooks from Wisconsin's Digital Library?
Maximum Checkouts / Holds: Each patron may check out a maximum of 10 Wisconsin's Digital Library items, and a maximum of 10 items may be placed on hold at one time.
Checkout Periods: Items from Wisconsin's Digital Library may be checked out for seven, 14 or 21 days at a time. Patrons have the option to select which checkout period is desired at checkout; however, the 21-day option may not be available for high demand items.
Renewals: To renew, follow the directions at https://help.overdrive.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1481523-how-to-renew-digital-titles. High demand items may not be available for renewal.
Returns: Digital items do not have late fees and are returned automatically once their checkout periods have ended; however, we appreciate it when patrons return their items as soon as they are no longer needed: https://help.overdrive.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1481263-how-to-return-titles-before-the-end-of-your-lending-period.
