FAQ: What software do I need to access digital content from the library?
You may download Libby from the app store on your mobile device, or using the links at https://www.overdrive.com/apps/libby.
You also may visit https://libbyapp.com to use Libby in your browser.
Alternatively, the following software may be available for older devices or in limited situations:
- Overdrive app: This was the original app for accessing WDL content. It is no longer available for download, but may continue to function on devices where it remains installed.
- Kindle app: Optional third-party app if you prefer the Kindle format from Amazon.com.
- Adobe Digital Editions: Optional third-party app for reading e-books on old (or very basic) e-readers. Can be used on computers too, but first try https://libbyapp.com instead.
- Overdrive Media Console: Windows desktop application for downloading WDL audiobooks to your computer and burning CDs. It is no longer widely supported.
