FAQ: How long will it take to receive my interlibrary loan request?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) items can take 2–8 weeks to obtain, depending on the item's location, its availability at the lending library, and the lending library's response time.
Because the interlibrary loan process is dependent on responses from a variety of institutions and delivery systems, delivery times vary greatly.
Some materials — e.g. items that are difficult to locate — may take much longer than average.
Some items may never become available for borrowing.
Try to allow adequate lead-time when making a request.
ILL staff will contact you if a requested item cannot be obtained.
