Timothy Egan: "A Pilgrimage to Eternity" Reading & Q&A
We're thrilled that award-winning, NYT bestselling journalist Timothy Egan will join us during the Central Wisconsin Book Festival for a virtual event about his newest book, "A Pilgrimage to Eternity."
Motivated by his family's complicated relationship with the Catholic Church, Egan embarked on a thousand-mile trek through the cradle of Christianity along the Via Francigena, a trail from Canterbury to Rome traveled by devout Christians. Egan's experiences - and the way he writes about them - run the gamut from funny to frustrating to enlightening and moving. He will discuss the book and answer questions about his work during this Central Wisconsin Book Festival event.
Egan is the author of nine books, including the National Book Award-winning "The Worst Hard Time" about the Dust Bowl, and currently writes an opinion column for the New York Times. In 2001, he shared a Pulizter Prize with a team of reporters for a Times series on race in America.
This event is free and open to the public. Information on how to join the talk will be coming soon! Call 715-261-7230 for more information.
